Overview

The Million Housing Units programme was a test of throughput rather than complexity. Horema completed 539 boreholes totalling 5,554 metres across three separated sites and delivered field results, laboratory testing and foundation recommendations inside six weeks.

Delivering that volume meant running multiple rig crews concurrently in El Obour, Badr City and El Minya, with a logistics chain that moved samples into the laboratories daily and a reporting team producing standardised outputs per housing cluster.

The campaign remains a reference point for how quickly a national-scale investigation can be executed without relaxing ASTM and BS testing discipline.
