Overview
Transit alignments cross dozens of geological settings in a single corridor, and each pier, station box and portal needs its own founding solution. Horema delivered linear investigation campaigns for the monorail, the Electric Express Train and the Alexandria Regional Metro, sequencing rigs to keep pace with fast-moving design programmes.
Urban drilling brought its own constraints: restricted access, live traffic, buried services and night-work windows. Our crews planned around them while maintaining sampling and logging discipline, and installed monitoring points where groundwater control governed station excavation design.
Reports were structured alignment-by-alignment so designers could compare founding options pier to pier, with settlement and bearing parameters presented for both shallow and piled solutions.
